The River Chart and Luo Book are treasures of divination and calculation, not only containing the primordial Chaos River Luo Grand Array but later used by Fuxi to deduce the Pre-Heaven Bagua. The Chaos Bell, however, is an even greater treasure—an innate primordial artifact. Among the innate treasures of the prehistoric era, there were only a few, and the Chaos Bell combined offense and defense seamlessly. With the Chaos Bell, Taiyi became known as “the strongest under the Sage.” This attests to the formidable power of the Chaos Bell.

First, the Chaos Bell is formed from the handle of Pangu’s Heaven-Opening Axe. Second, it is a treasure with temporal and spatial attributes. Moreover, after the heavens were opened, it was used to suppress the countless stars, so like the River Chart and Luo Book, the bell contains a grand formation. This formation surpasses even the Chaos River Luo Grand Array and is the clan-sealing array of the demon race, called the—Heavenly Star Array of the Zodiac.

As the name implies, the Heavenly Star Array can mobilize the power of the zodiac stars. Initially, this array was not formidable since Taiyi never fully refined the Chaos Bell, naturally limiting its power. Therefore, when Taiyi laid down the Heavenly Star Array with the Chaos Bell, the stellar forces he could summon were limited, making the array far from terrifying.

However, the problem is that Emperor Jun and Taiyi united countless elites of the demon race to re-derive this grand array from within the Chaos Bell, ultimately elevating it to an astonishing level. At its peak, the Heavenly Star Array could not only draw upon all the stars’ might but also involved billions of demon gods to operate it fully, unleashing a power that could rival a Sage in combat.

With this Heavenly Star Array, the demon race flourished for an entire kalpa before their contest with the shaman race finally came to a close. Given all this, how could Lin Yang not yearn for such a powerful treasure? Regardless of the array’s strength, the Chaos Bell alone was priceless.

Yet, treasures come to those destined to have them. It was highly unlikely for Lin Yang to obtain the Chaos Bell, now likely bound to Taiyi as an attendant treasure. Though he failed to find them, Lin Yang acquired another precious item. Amidst the raging flames, he picked up a pearl that felt heavy in his hand—a rare treasure formed from condensed endless solar true fire—known as the Solar Divine Pearl. Lin Yang sensed the astounding energy contained within it.

If this pearl were to be dispersed, it would transform into an immeasurable amount of solar true fire, and the terrifying power unleashed at the moment of dispersion would be unimaginable. “Truly, after a long search without success, fortune comes effortlessly!” Lin Yang exclaimed.

By this point, the solar true fire had become so intense that if Lin Yang did not exert his spiritual power, his own body could not withstand it.

The Chaos Gourd voraciously devoured the solar true fire. Lin Yang could clearly feel the fire’s essence within the gourd growing stronger. However, this progress was still insufficient. At this rate, it was uncertain how many aeons it would take to saturate it.

Then, unexpectedly, a Solar Divine Pearl was handed to him. With this pearl, Lin Yang could save an immense amount of time and directly achieve his goal. He even entertained the thought that this pearl might transform within the Chaos Gourd into a miniature sun—a simulated solar star—achieving self-sufficiency and continuous energy supply.

Such an enhancement to the Chaos Gourd would be far greater than merely devouring solar true fire. Without hesitation, as Lin Yang was about to absorb the Solar Divine Pearl into the Chaos Gourd to transform it into a miniature sun, a sudden and sharp sense of danger surged in his heart.

Almost instinctively, Lin Yang lowered the Chaos Gourd, enclosing himself entirely within it. Immediately, streams of fiery light burst forth, striking the very spot where Lin Yang had been standing. The power was terrifying.

The entire solar star seemed to tremble. These fiery beams triggered massive explosions, instantly forming a dreadful solar storm. It was only then that a fearsome roar echoed through the air.

“Roar! Roar! Roar!” One after another, dragon roars rang out, and then eight colossal shadows appeared—eight enormous ancient venomous dragons.

Lin Yang had suspected that this solar star harbored immensely powerful ancient venomous dragons possessing intelligence and strength rivaling that of a preternatural saint.

As expected, the ancient venomous dragons had now revealed themselves. Their sudden assault nearly annihilated Lin Yang on the spot—an extremely perilous situation.

Sheltering within the gourd, Lin Yang observed everything clearly, a trace of shock flashing through his mind. Fortunately, he had not been completely careless and had maintained a constant state of vigilance. Only this allowed him to retreat into the gourd and seek refuge at this critical moment.

Otherwise, had he failed to evade that strike, he would have been either killed or gravely wounded. “Even as a traveler through worlds, I am not immortal. This experience confirms that. Henceforth, I must never be arrogant or careless,” Lin Yang admonished himself.

Thankfully, the Chaos Gourd was powerful enough—an innate primordial treasure. Even if unclaimed, these ancient venomous dragons could not break through it, especially since Lin Yang had fully refined it.

Thus, inside the gourd, Lin Yang remained unharmed, though the gourd itself was blasted away. The ancient venomous dragons were now spreading their divine senses, searching for the gourd’s location. They presumed Lin Yang had been killed or at least severely wounded by their strike, believing him nearly dead.

Hence, they sought the gourd to retrieve the Solar Divine Pearl Lin Yang had collected. These dragons failed to recognize the Chaos Gourd as an innate treasure and instead coveted the pearl as their prize.

Lin Yang had not expected his sudden attack to be triggered by such a small Solar Divine Pearl. Without the gourd’s protection, he might well have perished.

But this was reality. The ancient venomous dragons roamed within the solar star, scavenging the scattered Solar Divine Pearls to devour and strengthen themselves.

By coincidence, they encountered Lin Yang, who had just picked up a pearl. Cunning as they were, the dragons did not reveal themselves openly but instead concealed themselves within the solar true fire to launch a surprise attack.

Eight ancient venomous dragons combining their forces in an attack—such power could overwhelm even a Grand Dao Golden Immortal, crushing resistance and slaughtering them instantly. Clearly, these dragons had practiced such tactics repeatedly over a long time.

Any lifeforms entering the solar star were seen as intruders. The weak were casually slaughtered, while formidable opponents like Lin Yang were met with stealthy ambushes.
