Volume 1, Chapter 27: The Male Siren
“How could that be...?”
Ye Qianyao was even more astonished. Her eyes widened, and the words escaped her before she noticed the looks others were giving her and realized that she had lost her composure.
She quickly closed her mouth, but the incredulous expression on her face refused to fade.
The teacher looked very young, with fair skin. She seemed to be only about five feet three, and had a fine figure. But her eyes—there was something icy and murderous in them, along with an oppressive force.
Chen Tianfeng had just been about to attack again when the giant scorpion stopped twitching and sprayed a clump of sticky matter from its mouthparts.
Still, he did not care. Rankings were nothing more than empty reputations. He would cultivate diligently and astonish everyone in the future, making all those who looked down on him now see him in an entirely different light.
“The second character—Li!” Jiang Tianxiao’s voice pierced the entire hall. The character “Li” in Xia Li’s name echoed overhead, as though celebrating something worthy of praise, lingering for a long while.
“Aunt Xu, could you read it a little less? If you keep going, I’ll be too embarrassed to record or livestream this.”
The person carrying the basket twisted his wrist. A dagger gleaming with a chilling light appeared in his hand, and he drove it straight toward Bo Cong’s heart.
“Could Her Ladyship truly disregard the bond between sisters?” Sang Qianfei seemed to have summoned enormous courage before calling out from behind Sang Zi.
It could more or less be considered one of their own hotels, and it lay within sight. Perhaps that was also why the old man had not come looking for him.
The moment she opened Weibo, she came across another post from Xia Qingyi, and the level of excitement began to rise once more.
Ruan Zhihe was not entirely certain, because the color was so faint that it could not be seen at all except under certain lighting.
Sure enough, after only a brief hesitation, Rachel Dawes followed behind Klein and headed toward the end of the passageway.
“Big brother, you really haven’t called me in ages.” Her voice carried a hint of reproach and childish affection.
All their energy was being poured into preparing Big Bang’s return to the stage. Three music-show performances, each of them exquisitely polished, were already an extraordinarily time-consuming undertaking. The guards at the gate were dumbfounded. They had assumed the crowd consisted of fans gathered for several different groups, but it turned out they belonged to the group led by that unfamiliar manager from earlier. Could they really be this popular?
Never mind that Guan Yu was too proud, Zhang Fei too violent, and Jian Yong too insolent. At least they had been your old subordinates who had shared life and death with you.
Feikangni did not immediately leave as Flass instructed. After sitting in the car for a while and hearing the endless screams outside, he gritted his teeth, opened the door, and stepped out. He was determined to find out exactly what the hell was going on.
At that moment, the fleeing puppet soldiers and collaborators heard the gunfire cease, and realized that their pursuers had not caught up with them. Without a doubt, this allowed them to breathe a sigh of relief.
The strength of Mo Kongshan far surpassed that of the Demon-Sealing Clan. As a result, Mo Yulong was always arrogant and overbearing, believing himself superior and refusing to take the Demon-Sealing Clan seriously. He did not even regard Ye Feng, the clan’s leader, with any respect.
“Drop dead. Who’s your wife?” Huang Yue slapped Ge Liang’s hand away. “Hey, why don’t we try it right now?” She was eager to test the fruits of her labor.
“He’s weaving a basket trap to raise crabs.” Wearing a felt hat and carrying a long gun case over his shoulder, Ninth Uncle stepped through the door.
The next morning, Yuan Zhenxia woke early. He glanced toward the living room and saw that Guto was already gone. After a moment of bewilderment, Yuan Zhenxia got out of bed and went into the living room, where he found a note Guto had left behind.
