Chapter 24: Since you were crying and begging me to find Jiang Jiujiu for you, I suppose I have no choice but to begrudgingly help you out!
Fu Suiyu was whisked away by Fu Jiajin and Fu Jiahuai. The movement was so swift that Cen Xiyun, standing at the podium, was left completely bewildered. Jiang Jiujiu didn't have time to offer any explanations; she simply gathered her belongings while speaking to the teacher. "Teacher Cen, thank you for your hard work today. Please feel free to head home early; we have some matters to attend to." Before Cen Xiyun could even respond, she found the room empty—save for herself, standing there in a daze.
Jiang Jiujiu quickly scrambled into the backseat of the car. Fu Jiajin glanced around briefly before speeding straight toward Jiang Tian’s private hospital. In the back, Jiang Jiujiu and Fu Suiyu had already fastened their seatbelts and were clutching the handles for dear life, their faces contorted in terror. It was hardly their fault; the speed at which Fu Jiajin was driving was practically flight.
Jiang Jiujiu cast a helpless look toward her brother, Jiang Tian, in the distance. After hearing the demands from Fu Jiahuai and Fu Jiajin, Jiang Tian stood up abruptly, slammed his hands onto his desk, removed his glasses, and stared with wide eyes. "Fu Jiajin, Fu Jiahuai, are you two sick? Didn't I just perform a DNA test for you recently? It’s only been a few days, and you've already developed amnesia!"
At some point, Jiang Jiujiu had walked over to Jiang Tian, skillfully unlocked his computer, and displayed the surveillance footage and the test results on a split screen. She nudged Jiang Tian, signaling him not to speak recklessly. Fu Suiyu sat leisurely in the plush sofa, snacking on some washed fruit while watching the brothers' spines slowly stiffen.
Fu Suiyu’s voice was measured: "Have you two seen enough? Do you need to do it again? My time is very precious, you know! After all, our President Fu expects me to get into Jingbei University!"
Fu Jiajin stared at Fu Suiyu as if she were a monster, then glanced suspiciously at Jiang Jiujiu, before wondering if he was the one who was actually the monster. Fu Jiahuai was no better off, equally lost in the situation. Jiang Jiujiu pulled Fu Suiyu away, giving the brothers some space to process everything.
Jiang Tian sat back down, put his black-rimmed glasses back on, and stared at Fu Jiajin and Fu Jiahuai with skepticism. "Did you two really come here having completely forgotten about all this?"
Fu Jiahuai nodded quickly. Jiang Tian felt at a loss and, after careful consideration, said, "Honestly, should I give you both a full physical exam to see if there’s something wrong with you?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Fu Jiajin and Fu Jiahuai instinctively recoiled. "I'm perfectly normal!" "I'm not sick!" the brothers said in unison. Jiang Tian looked as if he had heard a joke. He pointed at Fu Jiajin. "You’re twenty-eight, nearly thirty. If you were normal, would you have brought her here again? Look at the date on this—it hasn't been long, and you've already forgotten. Don't you think there’s something wrong with you?"
He then pointed at Fu Jiahuai. "If you aren't sick, how could you forget that she is your sister? If you're sick, you need treatment. Dragging it out won't be good for either of you!"
Fu Jiajin and Fu Jiahuai looked at each other. "We are not sick!"
Jiang Tian was convinced they were truly unwell. Jiang Jiujiu entered just in time. "Jiang Tian, they aren't sick. I'll explain it to you another day."
"Alright." Jiang Tian gave up his seat to his sister, hovering near her like a guardian angel. Jiang Jiujiu pressed her fingertips together, covering the lower half of her face, leaving only her bright, piercing eyes visible. "Do you still doubt it?" she asked. "Little Yu is waiting outside anyway. It doesn't matter, you two..."
Under Jiang Jiujiu's gaze, Fu Jiajin retreated. "We believe it. It must be our memory that's at fault."
Jiang Jiujiu nodded. "I won't waste time explaining why your memories are like this, but Fu Suiyu is your own sister—the little princess your parents were desperate to have. You cannot bully her!" She then looked at Fu Jiajin. "And regarding our wedding, if you dare to stand me up again, you're finished. I’ll take your child and run away!"
For a moment, everyone's eyes landed on Jiang Jiujiu’s stomach. Jiang Tian looked at Fu Jiajin, then stared at Jiang Jiujiu. "Sis, last night... you weren't, I... he's like this now, and you still dare to..." Jiang Tian couldn't finish his sentence; one look from Jiang Jiujiu silenced him.
Fu Jiajin’s ears turned red, and he slowly lowered his head. Jiang Jiujiu pointed toward the door. "Alright, take Little Yu home. Every moment with her is precious now!"

In the car, the atmosphere was strange. Fu Suiyu caught eyes with someone in the rearview mirror every so often. "What, do you want to ask me something? For the sake of being siblings, I’ll tell you everything I know." After waiting a while, the silence remained absolute. "Fine, I gave you your chance. If you don't want to ask, don't say I wasn't willing to tell you."
When they arrived home, Fu Jiahuai got out first and stumbled toward the villa. Fu Jiajin quickly grabbed Fu Suiyu, but he seemed too embarrassed to speak. Fu Suiyu crossed her arms, having guessed what he wanted to ask from the look on her eldest brother's face.
"You were drugged by Lin Yu and were crying, begging me to find Jiang Jiujiu for you, so I had no choice but to help you! Who else is going to do it? You're my brother!"
Fu Jiajin stared at her, stunned. "What did you say?"
Fu Suiyu sensed his regret and massaged her hand, which was clenched at her side. Two angels fought in her mind. The white angel whispered: *He’s your brother, your own brother! It’s not his fault; he was manipulated. Why hold a grudge against someone who lost their memories and had them tampered with?*
On the other side, the black angel hissed: *Oh, you absolute scumbag. You’ve really mastered the art of pretending to be affectionate! Go ahead, hit him—treat him like a punching bag to practice your self-defense.*
Fu Suiyu took a deep breath and looked at Fu Jiajin. "You should be glad that the 'you' of yesterday isn't the 'you' of today. Otherwise, I suspect you’d be so disgusted you’d kill yourself!"
Fu Suiyu didn't want to waste any more time. Today had been one thing after another. She needed to settle down and get some rest so she could face Teacher Cen’s class in good spirits tomorrow.
Just as she entered the villa gate and took the items from Uncle Wang, she saw Fu Jiahuai appear with a slap mark on his face, radiating a "don't mess with me" aura. Fu Suiyu couldn't help but laugh out loud; she had truly never seen Fu Jiahuai look so pathetic.
Fu Jiahuai shot her a vicious glare before heading to his room. Uncle Wang called out several times, leaning his head toward Fu Suiyu. "Young Miss? Young Miss?" Finally, he raised his voice. "Young Miss, what’s going on?"
