The man from the distribution department was covered in sweat. He hurriedly changed the subject, opened the presentation, and projected it for everyone to see.
Zhu suddenly remembered where she had seen the young man before. In the garden of Xiangguo Temple, he had once spoken at length with Luo. She had eavesdropped on them, but after discovering her, he had not become angry. Instead, he had gently advised her not to get involved with him.
“The experts have praised it so highly. They are all recommending this Urban Beauty brand. Buying one piece is hardly a major expense. Even if you get cheated, it will only cost a few dozen yuan, right?”
Qi Rong had not expected that, after so much time had passed, her elder sister still could not treat herself or others with a normal frame of mind. She could only sigh helplessly as she watched her.
Following the list provided by his father, Wang Heng examined each person in turn and promoted Min Nong and the others, having them temporarily take charge of official duties. He then drafted a memorial to Emperor Jingkang, detailing their abilities and achievements, as well as the hidden circumstances behind their former persecution and suppression. Since they were the people most familiar with Huzhou, he recommended that the Ministry of Personnel promote and appoint them.
Whenever a position was vacant, Shi Qing’s men immediately filled it. With the government, police, and military working together, the school entrance—which only a moment before had been chaotic and utterly disorderly—quickly became quiet.
After hearing this, Liang Xinming made arrangements. She sent Qing Mo to follow the clues along the route, while ordering others to keep Old Wei under covert surveillance and monitor his contact with anyone.
They had attractive faces and figures. Young and beautiful, they were easier to pursue than the top models, more uninhibited, and more willing to have fun. The media dubbed them “young models.”
Yang Shilei naturally knew all about it. The Zhongjing Institute of Fashion had every kind of facility at its internship base. He was, after all, a designer who had worked in the field for years. The things he had already played with to death were technologies that had still been considered new a decade ago.
Wang Shasha was experienced, however. After only a few words, she had figured out the purpose of their visit and given a reasonable answer. Everything Chen Mubei had said was true.
After she finished speaking, Hui Xue’s fair face flushed scarlet. It seemed that this one teasing remark had exhausted all the shame she had stored up.
“I don’t know. It looks more like an act of revenge.” Zheng Baina shook her head. The police still had not called after that, and she thought it was very likely that the culprit had escaped.

Mo Zun reached out to touch her face. They were very close. He sat on the sofa while Rong Qian leaned slightly toward him, one leg half-kneeling on the cushions.
Before long, the two of them arrived at a shop and wandered around inside. Qinggong Haruka carefully selected and bought some ingredients to use for cooking the next day. Huo Yixin, meanwhile, was still left with nothing to do but carry the bags.
The moment he sat inside the carriage, he felt the biting wind being blocked. It was no longer as sharply cold as it had been outside in the frozen snow.
“Oh? How did you know? I never imagined that Lord Wang had some knowledge of the tea ceremony as well.”
Cao Bin was rather surprised. This tea had recently been presented by the Ye family to Emperor Zhenzong of Song, Zhao Heng. Zhao Heng had found its flavor agreeable and given some to him. At the time, he vaguely remembered hearing that it was called this.
The technologies Tang Lou had mentioned were all the most advanced in the Nine-Phoenix Kingdom. Mustard-Seed Divine Runes were a form of spatial storage technology; self-propelled gates could enable people to cross between two places; and Spirit-Plated Armaments could imbue weapons with all kinds of miraculous arts.
“Hee-hee.” Sun Shangxue covered her mouth and giggled. She hurriedly glanced around and saw that everyone had their heads lowered, crying bitterly and wiping away tears. Since no one was paying attention to her, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Coalball had already reached the Profound Rank. Although it could not speak human words, it could more or less understand what Chang Qing was saying.
Ever since the mutation began, Xue Xingran had already drawn her blade and remained on guard. At that moment, Shi Ruhu raised his head again and looked first at Ling Feng, then at him.
Even the power contained in this single galaxy was enough to give Xiao Yifeng an unparalleled and formidable might.
Qin Aofeng walked over, crouched beside her, took Xia Mo’er’s wrist, and felt her pulse before releasing it.
The fat man beside the bearded man flatteringly said, “Big Brother, you happen to be short of a wife for the stronghold. Why not…” As he spoke, the men exchanged lecherous grins.
Back then, there had not been just one corpse that had burst through the wall of the ancient tomb, but two. Could Tu Tian’s master have been the other one?

Xia Mo bought a great many things for the New Year on the street and made his way to Willow Leaf Alley by asking for directions. Just as he reached the entrance and was about to kick the door open, he suddenly sensed that something was wrong. He took two steps back and noticed a new couplet pasted beside the door. After having lived at home for several months, there was not the slightest sign of decay around the entrance.
Yet there was a certain kind of person who was always different on the outside and within. They appeared calm and untroubled, like a clear breeze beneath a bright moon, but in secret they had long since become frantic. Consort Li seemed to see straight through Yu Zinuo. Her eyes and brows were as delicate as silk, making people instinctively avoid that scorching gaze.
Xue Zhilian did not hesitate in the slightest. Instinctively, she followed Lianshan’s pull toward the direction in which the Jade Emperor sat enthroned.
Just as the other party’s terrifying punch was about to land on him, Xiao Yifeng’s body vanished from sight in an instant.
Junyan had already fallen asleep, so Zhang Nan had the servants carry him to the nursery. Although Junyan was no longer an infant, Zhang Nan had still arranged a nursery for him and Zhenzhen so that their married life would not be disturbed.
The first ability needed no explanation: it could fuse with the strength of one’s pets, making its wielder outrageously powerful. The stronger the pet, the greater the power obtained. Chen Tiandu’s few moves at the time had left Wu Kuang with an unforgettable impression.
Even so, she still wanted to leave the Regent some beautiful memories. She did not want all the red in his recollections to be nothing but the cruel, murderous glare of blood.
“Although your mother has departed this world, she will be watching you from the heavens. Live well and live happily—that will be the finest repayment you can give her,” Lian Xinran said.
By the middle of the double-hour of the Boar, everyone had already gone to bed. Ye Liniang could hardly invite Li Jin into the residence.
“Master Li, I shall never forget your kindness in coming to our aid.” She glanced around, her expression somewhat troubled. There was no man in the household to take charge, and Li Jin was an unrelated man from outside the family. She truly did not know how to receive him.
