Thus, Su Xin accepted the watch and happily walked out of the store with Lu Yichen, heading to a café outside East Sea Plaza.
“May I take your order?” the waiter asked Su Xin and Lu Yichen.
“One caramel macchiato and one iced Americano. Do you have chocolate cake?” Lu Yichen spoke first.
“Yes, we do.”
“Then one slice of chocolate cake, that’s all.”
“Very well.”
After ordering, Lu Yichen quickly paid the bill. Soon, their orders were brought to the table.
Watching the whole process, Su Xin was amazed and smiled at Lu Yichen. “You still remember I like caramel macchiato and chocolate cake.”
Lu Yichen teased, “How could I forget? Back in the club days, you almost killed me for taking a bite of your chocolate cake.”
They fell silent for a moment, both seemingly recalling their school days.
Su Xin took off the Elysian Goddess watch from her wrist, placed it in the box, and handed it to Lu Yichen.
“This is too valuable. I really can’t accept it. You should take it back. If not, keep it safe and give it to your future girlfriend.”
“Oh? So only a future girlfriend can accept this gift? How about you, Xin Jie, be my girlfriend?”
Just after taking a sip of her caramel macchiato, Su Xin almost spat out the coffee upon hearing Lu Yichen’s suggestion. She couldn’t tell if he was joking or serious.
“You brat, daring to have feelings for me, huh?”
“Of course I do. You’re so beautiful, how could I not love you?”
Su Xin was instantly speechless because Lu Yichen’s words were absolutely reasonable.
She had almost forgotten—if not for him being together with Qin Ruoyan in college, perhaps she would have...

During their silence, Su Xin’s phone kept ringing. She opened WeChat and saw her colleagues in a group chat asking about her and Lu Yichen’s progress.
“Xin Jie, is he really your boyfriend? If not, can you introduce him to me?”
“Yeah, he’s so handsome, I love him so much.”
“What are you two talking about? He gave Xin Jie such an expensive Elysian Goddess watch. There’s no way you two aren’t involved.”
“Ah~ is that true, Xin Jie?”
Seeing Su Xin engrossed in her phone, Lu Yichen asked, “What’s going on? Something urgent?”
“Nothing urgent, just that you’ve gained a few little fans.”
