Gu Fangyu’s heart leapt as if it had been snatched up. Instinctively, she pushed away the man before her. Yet, as if teasing, Gu Hanchen did not loosen his grip; instead, he deepened the kiss with even greater intensity.

In her struggle, her arm brushed against a hanging garment nearby, knocking it loose. Outside the door, the previously halted knocking resumed urgently.

“Miss Gu? Miss Gu?” a staff member called anxiously from outside.

Then Gu Yao’s voice rang out at the door. “What’s going on in there?”

“Second Miss, Miss Gu was just changing clothes inside. She might have knocked something over, so we got worried...” the staff explained nervously.

“My sister’s in there?”

“Yes.”

Gu Yao showed no concern for her sister’s wellbeing. Her only worry was her own standing within the Gu family.

As she scanned the room and did not see Gu Hanchen, her brow furrowed. “Where’s my brother?”

The staff looked around, suddenly noticing the man who had been seated had vanished without a trace.

Gu Yao caught their confusion but didn’t press further.

Inside, Gu Fangyu’s complexion paled as she listened to their exchange. The man’s gaze darkened as he lowered his voice to warn her, “If you make a scene, aren’t you afraid they’ll come in?”

Gu Fangyu froze, glaring sharply at him.

Gu Hanchen chuckled softly, brushing his lips teasingly against hers. “Unless you want them to see you like this...”

He left the threat hanging.

At this moment, simply having a man and woman alone in a fitting room was scandalous enough, but seeing her disheveled in her half-worn dress invited endless speculation.

Seeing the panic in her eyes, Gu Hanchen was about to open the door.

Terrified, Gu Fangyu lunged forward to stop him.

In her panic, she stepped on the hem of her skirt and stumbled forward.

Quick as a flash, she grabbed the man to steady herself.

Caught off guard, Gu Hanchen was embraced fully as they collided with the fitting room door.

The loud bang immediately drew the attention of those outside.

“Miss Gu, are you alright?”

Just as Gu Fangyu was about to answer, the man mischievously pressed his lips to her neck, trailing down her slender nape deliberately.

It was obvious he was doing it on purpose.

“Big sister, are you in there?”

“Big sister, if you don’t open the door, we’re coming in.”

Gu Yao feigned concern as she gripped the door handle, though in truth she was only wary of her brother being inside.

“I... I’m fine.” Finally steadying her nerves, Gu Fangyu spoke out to those outside.

But the distorted tone of her voice sounded off to anyone paying attention.

Luckily, those outside didn’t notice. “Miss Gu, do you need us to come in and help?”

“No need!” Gu Fangyu refused without hesitation.

After a moment, a staff member said, “Alright then, we’ll be outside. Call us if you need anything.”

“Okay, thank you.” Gu Fangyu’s voice was hoarse and fragile.

No sooner had she spoken than the man’s possessive kiss returned.

“Mm...”

“So afraid of being caught?” Gu Hanchen was determined to tease her mercilessly.

Soon, she grew limp and helpless in his arms.

If he hadn’t held her waist firmly with one hand, she might have slipped right down.

“Don’t.” Gu Fangyu’s soft, pleading voice startled even herself.

Her eyes red-rimmed, her right hand tightly pressed down on his wandering palm, tears glimmering in her gaze, stirring deep sympathy in anyone who saw.

Gu Hanchen’s Adam’s apple bobbed as his dark eyes seemed to devour her whole.

He had never intended to take her here, not in such a place.

As soon as he released his hold, she quickly turned away, clutching the dress that had slipped to her waist.

At that moment, his phone rang.

Gu Fangyu’s heart leapt once more.

She darted forward, anxious he might answer too late and that the ringtone would alert Gu Yao outside.

Seeing her rush over, Gu Hanchen pulled her close, smirking wickedly as he answered, “So eager?”

Gu Fangyu scowled.

He ceased teasing her and took the call quickly.

On the other end, Gu Yao asked, “Brother, why haven’t I seen you?”

“Some urgent company business came up. I’m on my way there now,” Gu Hanchen lied smoothly, calm as ever. “Once I’m done, I’ll have Lin Mu send you all home.”

“Alright then.” Gu Yao seemed oblivious to the ringtone.

He hung up and looked down at the frightened little rabbit in his arms, pinching her cheek gently. “Hurry and change, or we really will get caught.”

After all this time in here, those outside were bound to grow suspicious.

Gu Fangyu realized this too.

She wriggled free, ready to undress.

But her hand froze midway.

She turned back, glaring at the amused man. “Turn away.”

“You’ve been seen by me plenty of times already.”

Though he teased, Gu Hanchen cooperated and turned his back.

But when it came time to step out, Gu Fangyu gripped the door handle and hesitated.

She knew Gu Yao well. With her temperament, the moment she saw her sister leave, she’d rush in to investigate.

And if she found Gu Hanchen there too, how would she explain?

“What’s wrong?” the man asked knowingly.

He even kindly brushed her tangled hair behind her ear.

“You figure out a way to send them away,” she shot him a sharp look.

Gu Hanchen looked helpless. “I’m right here. How do you want me to shoo them off? Shall I go out and talk to them now?”

The next second, his large hand gripped hers and together they turned the door handle.

Everything happened so fast Gu Fangyu barely registered before the fitting room door swung open.

Her eyes widened in terror, but nothing dreadful occurred.

Outside, besides a couple of staff members, Gu Yao was nowhere to be seen.

Those staff, clearly aware of what had happened inside, kept their heads down, pretending not to notice.

Gu Hanchen strode out boldly.

She watched helplessly as he left the building and got into a car by the roadside.

Suddenly, Gu Yao’s voice approached from afar. “I’m not trying this one. The waist is too tight, how can I wear this with a big belly?”

In that instant, Gu Fangyu realized the truth.

She had been played again by that man.

He had already arranged for the staff to send Gu Yao away.

As she silently cursed Gu Hanchen, Gu Yao appeared and saw her standing at the fitting room door. Without hesitation, she shoved the door open. “Gu Fangyu, what are you dawdling for? Change your clothes already.”

With that, Gu Yao barged inside.

The fitting room was small; hiding a person inside was impossible.

Gu Fangyu was well aware of her sister’s intentions and simply stepped aside, letting her look around freely.

Though unwilling, Gu Yao found no other dresses besides the gown.

Seeing this, she reluctantly backed out.

As they passed each other, Gu Yao suddenly stopped, her gaze fixed on Gu Fangyu’s swollen, kissed lips. “Gu Fangyu, how dare you play around with a man in there? Which wild man was it? Get him out here!”
