“Damn it!”

Hearing this, Lord Rabbit flew into a rage. “You still dare raise a blade against me?”

“Do you even know how much I’ve done to help the Black Dragon Society become what it is today—”

“I don’t care how much you’ve done!”

Before he could finish, one of the underlings curled his lip and said scornfully, “All I know is that this is the Artisan Box.”

“Brother Chao makes the decisions here. Even you are powerless in this place.”

“You!”

Lord Rabbit was furious and was about to erupt, but Ye Wushang stopped him, patting him on the shoulder to indicate that he would handle it.

Then he looked up at the underling and said calmly, “Brother, could you go inside and inform Bi Haichao?”

“Tell him that Chairman Jiang sent me.”

“Chairman Jiang?”

The two underlings exchanged a glance, their expressions changing subtly.

They looked Ye Wushang over. He appeared young and possessed no particularly imposing air.

How could someone like him possibly be connected to Chairman Jiang?

“Mr. Ye, don’t say things like that carelessly.” Lord Rabbit instinctively grabbed Ye Wushang and lowered his voice. “Although my relationship with Chairman Jiang is fairly good, there’s no way he’ll hand over the Old Craftsmen.”

“Besides, what he hates most is people using his name to get things done.”

“You suddenly invoked Chairman Jiang’s name. If this is investigated, the two of us will be in serious trouble.”

“I may be able to get away with it, but Chairman Jiang is ruthless. When the time comes, he certainly won’t let you off.”

In Lord Rabbit’s eyes, Ye Wushang was capable and courageous.

But this time, he had gone too far. If Jiang Hongwei learned that someone had been using his name to deceive people at headquarters, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Lord Rabbit had expected him to come up with some ingenious scheme. Pretending to have Jiang Hongwei’s backing was not a bad idea, but putting it into practice would be nearly impossible.

“You bastard! Who do you think you are? Do you think you can see Brother Chao whenever you want?”

“You even dare use Chairman Jiang’s name to intimidate us. You really have no idea how close you are to death.”

“We told you to leave, and you still refuse? Are you so shameless?”

“Men! Seize this brat. After Brother Chao finishes his match, we’ll deal with him properly!”

The two underlings were certain that the young man was merely trying to frighten them.

Given his age and experience, there was no way he could know Chairman Jiang. Even if he did, Chairman Jiang would never stand behind him.

By every measure, this man had come looking for trouble.

Within the Black Dragon Society, one could provoke the other departments if one wished—but not the Artisan Box!

Very quickly, as the two underlings shouted, more than a dozen men came rushing out.

Every one of them carried blades, firearms, clubs, or other weapons. In the blink of an eye, they had surrounded the pair.

Lord Rabbit was speechless.

He truly had no idea what Ye Wushang was trying to accomplish.

But he had brought Ye Wushang here, and he had already resolved to follow him. At a moment like this, he still instinctively stepped forward to protect him and said in a low voice, “Mr. Ye, I’ll hold them off here. You go first.”

“I’m Lord Rabbit, after all. These little bastards wouldn’t dare do anything to me. But you…”

“You’ve caused trouble in this place, and Bi Haichao has a violent temper. If you meet him face-to-face, he certainly won’t let you off…”

“Thank you for your kindness, Lord Rabbit, but there’s no need.”

Ye Wushang nodded gratefully, then pushed him aside. Facing the approaching crowd, he decisively took out a token and waved it before them.

“This is Chairman Jiang’s personal token. I’m using it to request a meeting with Bi Haichao. That isn’t excessive, is it?”

The underlings froze.

The two men who had stopped them earlier immediately stepped forward, snatched the token, and examined it carefully.

“It really is the chairman’s token.”

“But how did this kid get it?”

“Who cares how he got it? Seeing the token is the same as seeing the chairman. We’ve gotten ourselves into serious trouble this time.”

“Quick! Get back inside! All of you, move!”

The underlings nearly wet themselves in fear and scattered in every direction.

The two men who had blocked them earlier immediately bowed and lowered their heads, speaking respectfully.

“We’re sorry, Mr. Ye. We were blind and failed to recognize your importance. Please forgive us.”

“It’s fine. Those who don’t know are not to blame.”

Ye Wushang waved his hand. Though the men had gone somewhat too far, they were merely doing their jobs.

“I won’t make things difficult for you. Please go inside and inform Bi Haichao that I want to see him.”

“Yes, Mr. Ye.”

The underling did not dare delay and immediately ran inside.

Another man remained behind, bowing and scraping before Han Xu with an ingratiating smile.

“Mr. Ye!”

Lord Rabbit was utterly stunned. He stared at Ye Wushang in disbelief.

“What is going on?”

“How do you have Jiang Hongwei’s personal token?”

Ye Wushang smiled calmly. “I met him earlier. After I explained what I needed, he gave me the token.”

“It’s a long story. I’ll tell you all about it later.”

“In any case, now that we have Chairman Jiang’s token, there shouldn’t be a problem getting the Old Craftsmen, right?”

Lord Rabbit fell silent.

His heart was churning like a storm-tossed sea, and for a long time he could not calm himself.

It was simply too shocking.

He had known that Ye Wushang possessed extraordinary connections and abilities, but this was beyond anything he had imagined.

Ye Wushang actually knew Jiang Hongwei—and had even obtained his personal token.

One had to understand that despite all Lord Rabbit’s achievements, he had never been qualified to receive such a token.

Clearly, Ye Wushang’s abilities were far greater than he had imagined.

A deep sense of shame suddenly overtook him.

He remembered how he had doubted Ye Wushang, tried to dissuade him, and even forced him to leave.

It turned out that he himself was the real fool.

“Mr. Ye!”

Before long, the underling who had gone to deliver the message came running back.

He looked embarrassed and troubled. “I’m sorry. Brother Chao says you should go in and see him yourself.”

“He also said…”

“What did he say?” Lord Rabbit demanded.

Ye Wushang’s expression changed as well.

It seemed Bi Haichao was no ordinary man.

Ye Wushang had even produced the chairman’s personal token, yet Bi Haichao still dared treat him with contempt?

“He said he’s very busy and has no time to deal with a connected nobody like you, Mr. Ye.”

“How dare he!”

Lord Rabbit was enraged, but Ye Wushang waved his hand.

“It’s fine, Lord Rabbit. As long as I can get inside, that’s enough.”

“It doesn’t matter how he sees me. I don’t mind being called a connected nobody. I only want to accomplish what I came here to do.”

With that, he patted the underling on the shoulder and smiled.

“Lead the way.”

Then he followed the man into the container.

They entered a large hall. The surroundings were dim, while the center was brightly lit. A fighting ring stood there.

At that moment, two men were locked in combat.

The man on the left was heavily muscled and stood nearly six feet three. Broad-backed and thick-waisted, he looked ferocious.

Despite having fought through more than a dozen exchanges, he was neither flushed nor short of breath. He had not even broken a sweat.

The man on the right, by contrast, was panting heavily. His nose was swollen, his face bruised, and he stood trembling in place. Clearly, he was in a dire situation.

The surrounding stands were packed with spectators, all of them worked into a frenzy as they shouted and cheered.

A bell rang.

The pause signal sounded, and the two fighters temporarily withdrew to rest.

“Mr. Ye!”

At that moment, a familiar shout suddenly rang out.

Ye Wushang turned and saw Zhang Heifa running toward them.

“You mangy cur!”

The moment Lord Rabbit saw Zhang Heifa, he flew into a rage. He grabbed him by the collar and barked, “You still dare show your face here? Do you believe I’ll—”

“Lord Rabbit, let him go.”

Ye Wushang stopped him. “Zhang Heifa and I had a misunderstanding before, but it’s been resolved.”

“He’s one of us now. He also helped me obtain Jiang Hongwei’s personal token.”

“What?”

Lord Rabbit was stunned and was about to question him, but Zhang Heifa said with a teasing smile, “That’s right, Lord Rabbit. I’m with Mr. Ye now.”

“We fought before getting to know each other. We’re all on the same side, so don’t get worked up.”

Hearing this, Lord Rabbit released him.

At the same time, his astonishment deepened.

Ye Wushang had actually managed to turn Zhang Heifa from an enemy into an ally—and had even used him to obtain Jiang Hongwei’s personal token.

His ability to command people was truly astonishing.

“Zhang Heifa, what brings you here?”

Ye Wushang was somewhat surprised by his sudden appearance.

Zhang Heifa drew a deep breath and lowered his voice. “Even though you have the personal token, I still wasn’t entirely at ease, so I followed you here to take a look.”

“You see that fellow up there who’s been beaten half to death? That’s Bi Haichao.”

“Like me, he’s one of Chairman Jiang’s most trusted men—and also my sworn rival.”

“I was worried he might make things difficult for you, so…”

Before he could finish, a water bottle suddenly flew from the ring and smashed onto the ground at Zhang Heifa’s feet.

“Zhang Heifa! Who the hell allowed you onto my territory?”

“Get lost!”

Zhang Heifa raised his brows and glared at him. “The Artisan Box may indeed be your territory, but today I’m acting on Chairman Jiang’s orders. I’ve brought Mr. Ye here to take someone from your custody. You can drive me away if you want—but first you’ll have to ask whether the chairman agrees!”

“You!”

“Brother Chao.”

Just as Zhang Heifa was about to shout back, an underling hurried over and whispered a few words into Bi Haichao’s ear.

Bi Haichao’s expression darkened to an extreme degree.

He waved his hand, signaling for the fight in the ring to stop, then came over with two underlings supporting him.

After briefly looking Ye Wushang up and down, he curled his lip.

“So you’re the one carrying Chairman Jiang’s personal token and coming here to see me?”

“Yes, Mr. Bi.”

Ye Wushang answered modestly, “I heard that the Black Dragon Society’s Old Craftsmen are all under your management.”

“So I’d like to take a few of them with me today. I’m only borrowing them and will return them as soon as I’m finished. That shouldn’t be a problem, should it?”

Bi Haichao snorted coldly and mocked him. “Another connected nobody. Is using the back door the only trick you know?”

“The Old Craftsmen are of vital importance to the Black Dragon Society. The chairman is certainly generous, allowing you to borrow them just because you asked.”

“Bi Haichao!”

Zhang Heifa shouted angrily. “Watch your mouth. Mr. Ye has done the chairman a great service.”

“The chairman is letting him borrow the Old Craftsmen to repay that debt. How dare you call him a connected nobody who’s using the back door?”

“Enough nonsense. The chairman told you to do it, so do it. Hurry up and bring out the Old Craftsmen…”

“Get lost!”

Before he could finish, Bi Haichao shoved Zhang Heifa aside and curled his lip.

“I do have to obey the chairman’s orders.”

“But he never said I had to personally accompany him while he made his selection, did he?”

“I’m busy fighting in the ring. I have no time to deal with this brat.”

“You want to borrow the Old Craftsmen? Fine. No problem.”

“Go find them yourself. If you have the ability, locate them and take them away yourself. If you don’t, then get the hell out of here while you still can!”

With that, he turned and headed back toward the ring.
