Regardless of whether the clockwork miniature train looked good or if its various attribute bonuses were useful, its greatest function was ultimately serving as a mount.

Sitting at the front of the little train, Liu Zong tested its speed. Aside from needing to wind the clockwork spring roughly every ten kilometers, there was nothing else to complain about. A 160% movement speed multiplier upgraded Liu Zong and his group's pace from a jog to the speed of a bicycle.

More importantly, during this journey, aside from watching the direction, Liu Zong didn't need to expend much energy at all. It was nothing like before, when he had to stop and rest after running for a little over ten kilometers.

They proceeded straight ahead along the yellow brick road. After traveling for about four or five hours—by which time Liu Zong was practically dying of boredom—the colors of the ground and the sky began to change, and a white line appeared between them.

The yellow brick road led straight toward that white line, and Liu Zong could even make out the faint silhouette of a castle lingering there.

Just as Liu Zong was excitedly about to charge forward, Bai Qi suddenly spoke up: "Be careful when driving. This is the edge of the world. If you don't want to get pulled into the infinite void, do not leave the boundaries of the yellow brick road."

"The edge of the world?" Liu Zong turned his head in confusion. "Explain, O veteran driver."

"You don't even know this? How did you go to school? Take it literally—the edge of the world is the peripheral boundary of this realm. Every world has finite limits, and the boundary looks like this. There are only one or two correct paths to leave safely; all others lead to the infinite void. That place is far more terrifying than the cosmos, and without immense capability, there's simply no escaping back."

Saying this, Bai Qi added with a solemn tone: "If you were by yourself, you could do whatever you pleased. But you've got me on your train right now, and I have no desire to go charging into the infinite void with you."

Liu Zong nodded and was about to say something when he immediately asked, "Tell me, veteran driver, do you know where these worlds actually exist? How do they come to be, why do they merge with the real world, and which part of the reality do the infinite voids correspond to?"

"Why are you asking about this? This is none of your concern right now, and to be honest, I don't know either." Bai Qi answered quite frankly, speaking straight to the point: "Actually, leave aside you; even the City Masters don't know these things. I've heard people say that this is the domain of Level 6 power."

"Level 6?" As Liu Zong listened to this term, which felt immensely distant to him, a flicker of yearning was just about to cross his eyes when the soul fragment deep within his soul suddenly vibrated. This caused an expression of disdain to surface on Liu Zong's face, and he involuntarily blurted out, "Level 6 isn't actually far away."

Having said that, Liu Zong froze for a moment, looking somewhat puzzled at Bai Qi. "What did I just say?"

"Level 6 isn't actually far away." Bai Qi chuckled teasingly. "Kid, you're quite confident, aren't you? Even the City Masters wouldn't dare say such a thing."

Liu Zong did not speak. Instead, he silently sensed the soul fragment deep within his soul. He could clearly perceive the confidence and disdain that had emanated from the soul fragment during its recent vibration, which indicated that to the original owner of the soul fragment, Level 6 was merely a starting point.

While Liu Zong was contemplating the soul fragment, the clockwork miniature train had already rushed past the yellow brick road and charged beyond what Bai Qi called the edge of the world.

It was at this moment that Liu Zong truly felt the terror of the world's edge. After plunging past that boundary line, the entire world seemed to be abruptly cut off. The terrain and landscape of the micro-world completely vanished, and aside from the yellow brick road, nothing met the eye except the infinite void.

Liu Zong gazed in all directions, only to discover that he could see absolutely nothing. Yet this invisibility wasn't the kind of pitch-black darkness where one couldn't see their own hand; rather, it was a place where truly nothing existed at all.

Even when Liu Zong turned his head back to look, apart from the yellow brick road, the original micro-world had disappeared as well. Only a short moment had passed, and Liu Zong refused to believe his clockwork train was moving that fast.

Fortunately, a castle quickly appeared ahead of them—no, to be precise, it was an ancient Roman-style colosseum.

The entire colosseum was constructed from countless cakes and biscuits, and flags made of various confections crammed the walls of the arena.

The gates of the colosseum were made of a single colossal block of chocolate. The yellow brick road stopped right here, but Liu Zong's clockwork train had no intention of stopping, crashing head-on into the chocolate gates.

The moment the chocolate gates collapsed, Liu Zong saw that the interior of the colosseum was a vast expanse of chocolate flooring. Those blocks of chocolate had been sliced into individual hard pieces, laid out across the ground looking just like marble.

The spectator stands surrounding the plaza were packed with countless colorful gummy bears, bouncing up and down as if cheering for something.

In the center of the colosseum, a team of green gummy bears and a team of red gummy bears were engaged in battle. Their combat method was simple: slamming into one another and tearing apart each other's bodies.

Liu Zong noticed that whenever a gummy bear died, it dissolved into thick sugary syrup, flowing through drainage ditches into the ground.

On the spectator stand directly facing the entrance, a red gummy bear—half a head taller than a normal gummy bear—sat upon a throne, watching the battle below. In its hand, it held a black scepter fashioned from a right hand.

Beside the gummy bear stood a giant honey jar, tall enough to reach a normal human's height. Clinging to the honey jar was a blue gummy bear, except that this one was currently wearing a yellow bee costume, complete with a pair of tiny wings on its back.

Seeing Liu Zong walk in with his undead subordinate minions, the red gummy bear sitting on the throne showed no surprise whatsoever, instead letting the battle below continue.

Only after all the gummy bears below had perished in battle did the red gummy bear stand up and shout something aloud.

Liu Zong listened closely, only catching a tiny fraction in the Language of the Undead; the rest of the speech was overly sweet, sounding nothing like any proper language.

The gummy bear roared about victory and honey, driving the surrounding spectator gummy bears into an even greater frenzy.

Shortly after, the gates on both sides of the colosseum swung open, and two teams of gummy bears—one blue, one yellow—marched out from the opposing portals.

These gummy bears were significantly stronger than the ones Liu Zong had encountered earlier, and they even wielded weapons made of gummy candy. Liu Zong understood that these were merely the prelude; the true battle lay with the red gummy bear on the high platform. Much like the Necromancer Bear, its combat style resembled that of a necromancer.
