Report.
The first day's subscriptions reached exactly 6,000, no more and no less.
This achievement should be viewed dialectically. In absolute terms, it cannot compare with those books that surpass ten thousand subscriptions on their first day; even among my own works, it is not the best.
After all, the book had only 33,333 bookmarks when it was released, so it was impossible for the subscription numbers to be too high.
But there’s no need to worry—low bookmarks mean we have had little exposure, which hints at great potential. As bookmarks increase later, so will subscriptions.
However, however, however—I must say, this is a miracle!
Normally, the first day’s subscriptions should be half the number of readers who are actively following. How does that calculation work? For example, this book had 8,300 followers before release. Effective followers—that is, those who have made purchases within the last three months—make up about 72%, which equals 5,976.
Yet, typically, only 70% of these users convert into first-day subscribers, meaning our expected first-day subscription should be around 4,183.
But the final number was 6,000—not only far exceeding expectations, but even surpassing the effective follower count!
What does this mean? It means that almost every paying reader who followed the public version of this book subscribed to the official release. Moreover, even readers who hadn’t made any purchases in the last three months also subscribed...
It’s simply unbelievable. This level of support is something I’ve never seen in my many years of writing.
Normally, such a situation only occurs when there’s a first-day subscription event, like special avatar frames or decorations.
Yet this book is bare—there’s nothing at all. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have so few bookmarks.
Perhaps I’m ignorant, but I’ve simply never imagined that, without any events, the first-day subscriptions could surpass the number of effective followers...
This can only mean that our readers are of exceptionally high caliber! They’ve taken such good care of me, and they truly love this book. They’ve subscribed as much as they possibly could!
What more can I say?
I have nothing to offer in return but my utmost effort—to pour everything I have into every word of this book, so that every penny you spend is worthwhile. I will strive to ensure this book accompanies you with the highest quality over the next two years.
A thousand thanks—and I will continue to update with four chapters daily...
~~
Lastly, let’s tally up what’s owed. First, last month I owed eight chapters: four for votes, three for alliance leaders, and one for interest...
In the past two days, I’ve updated nine chapters. After deducting the usual updates, I’ve repaid five chapters from last month. Three remain outstanding.
This month, with 6,000 first-day subscriptions, that’s twelve chapters owed, plus one for an alliance leader.
All together, that leaves sixteen chapters yet to be repaid...
The pressure is immense, but I will strive to clear the debt this month.
I ask my highly cultured readers to continue subscribing and casting your monthly votes!
