Chapter 55: Outbreak
Yin Nian drove Yuan Yin toward the Dekang Psychiatric Hospital.
As the car pulled out of the residential complex and Yin Nian prepared to accelerate, a man suddenly appeared in front of the vehicle. She frantically switched from the gas to the brake, skidding to a halt just before striking him. Yin Nian wondered if someone was trying to extort her again. Squinting to get a better look, she noticed the man had a sturdy build and arms covered in tattoos; he looked somewhat familiar. Yuan Yin suddenly let out a startled cry, her expression panicked. Yin Nian immediately remembered that this man was Yuan Yin’s husband.
The man clearly saw Yuan Yin, circled to the front of the car, and began pounding on the door with an arrogant demeanor.
Yin Nian locked all the windows and said to Yuan Yin, "Don't be afraid. As long as I am here, I won't let him bully you."
Yuan Yin huddled in her seat, watching the window with a mix of shock and terror.
His strength and speed had not changed significantly, but this set of boxing techniques was quite peculiar; it could not only neutralize attacks but also borrow the opponent's force to strike back.
Its movements were incredibly swift, even whipping up a foul-smelling wind. Even from several yards away, Brother Badger felt the hair on his body stand on end, a sense of extreme danger enveloping him.
After Lu Qiang left, the situation seemed to return to how it began, yet the atmosphere felt different after his sudden disruption and departure.
"Cough, cough, cough, cough, cough!" Amidst a bout of violent coughing, Zhu Yunwen hurriedly smoothed Zhu Yuanzhang’s chest and patted his back.
Cai Hongxin was not from a business background; he was a technician by trade. Currently a professor at a major university in the west, he had conducted thousands of experiments to develop his current technology, finally transforming his research into tangible results. He believed his technology could easily translate into immense wealth.
The biggest problem that had previously plagued everyone was that without the assistance of numerous disciples, the combined strength of the Chi father and son and the six members of the Yellow Badger group was not advantageous. Later on, they found it difficult even to reduce the number of demon soldiers.
Gu Yuezhen shielded Gu Ping behind her, frowning as she looked at the two men before them. The one speaking was Manager Fang of the Champion Building. Having stayed there for quite some time, she recognized him, but the middle-aged man in green beside him, with his grim expression, seemed vaguely familiar, though she couldn't recall his name for the moment.
The man was dressed like a fisherman and carried a fishing rod, looking every bit the part of an angler. Fishing is all about finding peace of mind; only by having enough patience can one return with a full catch after spending a vast amount of time.
However, having a strong background meant having access to supply channels! They could procure rare ingredients infused with the spiritual energy of heaven and earth! Items like spirit rice, spirit poultry, and spirit livestock—things ordinary restaurants might struggle to acquire—were easily obtained by these three establishments. Naturally, dishes infused with spiritual energy tasted far superior to those of any other place.
Listening to Zhao Hao’s words, the dark red giant ant scurried onto a massive boulder, raised its head, and rolled its lidless black eyes, scanning the surroundings as if checking for a female ant.
Even so, it was astonishing; an elderly man with no martial arts training could demonstrate such a profound and mystical artistic conception through this set of boxing techniques.
"How about this: whenever you have free time, take the company car out and practice driving outside the city. We’ll let you drive for Han Xue again next month."
"Are you a descendant of Olson?" The large man looked at Lin Fan, his expression tinged with solemnity as he asked.
Zuoqiu Mingyue leaned over and touched his forehead. Her slender, fair neck swayed right before his eyes, and the sight beneath her collarbone made the scene feel so unreal. Could he still be dreaming?
"Xuanfeng, what are you afraid of? We are guests; we’ve simply lost our way. There’s nothing reckless about this!" the senior brother Xuan Ling said dismissively.
Seeing his stubbornness, Guderian actually smiled. He instructed one of the knights behind him, "Take them all away and have the healers tend to the wounded." With that, he turned to leave.
After receiving the distress signal from the wild beast, Lin Fei no longer had the heart to slowly torment these Chaos Gods and mages of the Dark Race.
"Oh, it’s my dad. He came yesterday, straight from the Immortal Realm. He didn't go through customs, so now he has to take a flight back to China to process the paperwork before he can buy an outbound plane ticket." Ling'er explained, surprisingly articulate.
