The priest had no idea what the power of rules was and assumed these people were simply afraid. He patted the seat beside him.
“Come on, let’s waste our lives together. Who knows, maybe we’ll make it out while we still draw breath.”
The raccoon pondered for a moment and actually went over to sit down, his face grave. If he couldn’t move between carriages, then how was he supposed to search for the doll?
At that moment, Feng Tianlin had just boarded the train. He stood frozen, staring at this strange dimension. Why was this space so bizarre? While his own eerie realm could be considered a different space, it was nowhere near as vast as this.
This world seemed boundless. He didn’t doubt for a second that if he fell, it would be the end.
Only one path lay before him—to enter the carriage. Feng Tianlin wasn’t about to sit and wait for death; he strode in, knowing if he encountered danger, he could always rely on spatial teleportation to escape.
Stepping inside, he was greeted by all manner of bizarre machines, whirring and clanking madly as if producing something.
Curious, Feng Tianlin drew closer, only to instinctively retreat two steps at what he saw.
The machines were fitted with two fierce guillotine blades, ceaselessly chopping down. With each strike, blood splattered, and beneath the blades lay body after body—human corpses.
They were manufacturing human limbs and severed parts! But where did these raw materials come from?
With growing unease, he craned his neck forward and saw a production line—a human production line! A steady stream of humans dropped from the void above, fed directly into the machines.
Before he could study it further, a dining cart rolled by, loaded with those heaps of human flesh. Three stacked trays were filled, then the cart moved toward the front carriages.
Feng Tianlin followed behind, wanting to see where the flesh ended up.
The dining cart slowly passed through the last carriage and arrived at Carriage Four.
Feng Tianlin intended to follow but found a mysterious barrier between the carriages, preventing his passage. Forced to act, he teleported inside.
No sooner had he entered than countless eerie creatures surged forward, scrambling to devour the meat in the dining cart, even fighting each other viciously.
Ghosts, zombies, monsters—all manner of horrors.
The zombies bore nauseating green hairs, their eyes crimson, bodies desiccated.
The monsters came in all grotesque forms: cat monsters, snake monsters, rabbit monsters...
They were nothing like the beautiful creatures in movies; their faces were twisted, barely human except for their general shape, but their features gave away their nature.

At that moment, the creatures seemed to notice Feng Tianlin. One by one, they turned their strange eyes toward him.
Feng Tianlin stood his ground, unfazed—seven at Grade C, five at Grade B, two at Grade A, the rest mere Grade D and E riffraff, all supernatural beings. He had no reason to fear.
Seeing their continued staring, Feng Tianlin shouted, “Do you want to die?”
He spoke partly to intimidate, partly to see if any among them could communicate.
He had already disguised himself as an S-grade supernatural being, which explained their reluctance to approach.
Yet their gazes seemed dull, lacking intelligence...
Just then, a seductive female voice drifted over.
“Where did this little doll come from?” The voice carried a psychic attack; even Feng Tianlin, no longer human, nearly lost his soul. A regular man would have been instantly bewitched.
He looked toward the source through the crowd and saw a young woman, about fifteen or sixteen, dressed in snowy white ancient robes, smiling lightly as she fixed her gaze on him.
She looked entirely human, a maiden, save for the nine swaying tails behind her...
Feng Tianlin’s impression of this girl boiled down to two words: powerful—unbelievably powerful! She must have surpassed the so-called S-grade long ago.
He was stunned. How could such a mighty supernatural being look so human and beautiful?
As he gawked, the nine-tailed girl walked gracefully toward him. The eerie creatures parted to make way.
She stopped before Feng Tianlin, crouched, and looked him over. “You possess only fifth-tier strength but can release the aura of the eighth tier, and have awakened intelligence at the fifth tier. You’re quite interesting, little one.”
Her words baffled Feng Tianlin. Fifth tier, seventh tier—what was she talking about?
Still, he could tell she had seen through his true power.
Seeing his silence, the girl continued, “My name is Qi Xuan. People call me the Nine-Tailed Fox. What’s your name?”
Hearing the title Nine-Tailed Fox, Feng Tianlin drew a sharp breath. Was this girl serious?
Given her nine tails, terrifying power, allure, and looks, Feng Tianlin decided to trust her for now. After all, she had no reason to deceive him.
“I’m Feng Tianlin. People call me the Nightmare Doll.”

Nightmare Doll—those three spirit tamers had called him that, fitting perfectly with his nightmare form. Perhaps it was fate.
“Feng Tianlin? Nightmare Doll?”
Qi Xuan regarded him with interest, then laughed behind her hand. “What a unique name. Doll? Are you a little one from the Eastern lands?”
Feng Tianlin was puzzled. Did this so-called Nine-Tailed Fox not know about dolls? And she used terms like ‘Eastern lands’ as if from ancient times.
Wait—ancient times? The thought struck Feng Tianlin, prompting him to ask, “You don’t know what a doll is?”
“Never heard of it before,” Qi Xuan replied casually.
“How long have you been trapped here?”
“Half a year.”
Feng Tianlin was surprised. He hadn’t expected someone so powerful to be stuck here for half a year.
If supernatural beings could reach such strength half a year ago, then Qi Xuan was likely an awakened ancient supernatural. If so, it made sense she hadn’t heard of dolls and described power in tiers.
“So ancient supernaturals use tiers to measure strength. If I’m fifth tier, S-grade is eighth tier, G-grade must be first tier, and so on.”
Feng Tianlin pondered, now intensely curious about the so-called Nine-Tailed Fox’s tier.
“Feng Tianlin, stop asking me questions. Tell me, has the Monster Emperor unified the Nine Provinces?” Qi Xuan peered at him with wide, curious eyes.
“Monster Emperor? Unified the Nine Provinces?” Feng Tianlin was bewildered.
Was this something from ancient supernatural history? She was asking him, but he had no idea.
So he simply shook his head. “I don’t know anything about the Monster Emperor.”
“You don’t know the Monster Emperor? You don’t know the Great Sage Equal to Heaven?”
Qi Xuan expressed exaggerated disbelief, clearly surprised that Feng Tianlin knew nothing about the Monster Emperor.
